Tessra

Elegant discovery in an unrepeatable mosaic.

A calm puzzle game built on a Penrose tiling. No timer, no losing — tap outward from the center and watch a hidden order emerge.

The rule

Two rhombs. That is all.

Every mosaic in Tessra is built from exactly two shapes — a thick rhomb at 72° and a thin rhomb at 36°. Simple pieces, placed by simple rules, that never settle into ordinary repetition.

Mosaic of the Day

One mosaic, shared by everyone, every day.

Each UTC day generates a single Penrose patch — the same one for every player in the world. Start from the center, tap outward, and reveal the hidden order. Quietly social, with no chat and no scoreboard.

Twenty levels

Twenty named figures, from Twin Rhombs to Twin Suns.

A quiet route through the Penrose families. Each level asks you to reveal one named figure inside the patch — a gentle path from a single pair of tiles to nested stars.

The pattern

Patterns that never repeat — symmetry that always returns.

Order without repetition — the geometry Penrose proved possible in 1974, and Tessra lets you wander inside.
