Tessra is published by Bots & Bones (bundle ID com.botsnbones.tessra). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Tessra iOS app and this website.

Summary

No account is required to play Tessra.
Game progress is stored on your device only.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information we collect

On-device game data. Level progress, daily mosaic state, and settings are saved locally on your iPhone using the device's storage (AsyncStorage). This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that requires it (such as a waitlist signup).

Optional analytics. If enabled in a given build, we may collect anonymous usage events (for example: onboarding completed, level started) through a privacy-focused analytics provider. These events do not include your name, email, or precise location. You can contact us to ask whether analytics is active in your build.

Crash reports. If crash reporting is enabled, we may receive diagnostic information (device model, OS version, stack traces) to fix bugs. Crash data does not include game content or personal messages.

Waitlist (website). If you submit your email on our waitlist form, we store it to notify you about product updates. You can request removal at any time.

Children

Tessra is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

On-device progress remains on your device until you delete the app or reset your device. Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you (such as a waitlist email). Contact us using the details below.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Tessra after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
